Was wondering if anyone knew if this mod would raise the rear end of the scooter at all? it looks a bit thicker than using the standard rubber mount so it seems that the rear end would be slightly higher.

the threading starts deep into it, i haven't noticed any sort of increase in height.
That said, you definitely need to use a spacer, as the normal shock threading is too short to get into where the thread starts inside of the mount.
i strongly endorse this product. i've ridden behind a bike that had the original shock mount fail, and it was not pretty. i decided to order up the clauss version. drilling the extra hole is easy enough, once you get in there the installation is the same as putting the original in, and the thing takes all the shimmy out that a bad standard mount might provide, plus the reinforcement of it is a very key element. very well designed product that should be the standard itself.
