Hello everyone,
I just finished putting my machine back together, an LX-50, after installing the Malossi 78.8cc kit. Of course I was very careful to follow all the steps properly in the rebuild, but now it won't start.
Now, the most obvious symptom is this: When the key is on, the headlight and the dashboard indicator lights do not come on at all, not even a little bit. To contrast, the turn signals and the brake light work fine, no dimness at all. The engine definitely tries to turn over, and I don't hear any weakness in the process that would indicate a worn battery or anything like that. It seems that it might be a fuse problem, but the only fuse I can find is a 10amp fuse by the battery.
Any & all ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Max

maybe some other issue other than the fuse. but for starters.....check the compartment to the left of where you insert your key.
Will be level with your knees. To access, open your glove compartment, and look to the underside of the left panel piece. there will be a screw there. remove that, and you should see a couple of fuses behind that.
let us know what pans out...

Check for spark, too....
Could be something with your spark plug cable, or cables that go to your ignition....sometimes they disconnect inside of the protective boots, hard to see.... Happened to me!

I would say this is definitely a fuse issue. The dash is on the same fuse as the headlights. Not sure if the LX50 is the same as the leader engined models where this fuse is under the horn cover.
Good luck...
