I am by no means an expert on tires, but this is just my experience with Zippy tires on my GTv. I had heard they were good, so thought I'd give them a try. This is for anyone else who's considering switching to zippy tires.

Just replaced the original tires which were wearing thin, particularly the rear one. I'm assuming they were Pirelli or maybe Sava's? Had 3,500+ miles on them.

I love, love my zippy tires. It comes down to the fact that they are less sticky, I think. So, I can lean over more on turns. AND, one thing that pissed me off on the original tires was that I kept getting caught in the pavement grooves while riding, which SUCKED. These don't have that problem at ALL.

One caveat tho, since they are less sticky, they are slicker in the rain. So, this means you have to allow more time for breaking. I find that with the same amount of breaking on wet as dry road, I'm rolling faster on wet.

So far so good....anyone else have Zippy tire stories?

I have a zippy on the front and I love it, as for sticky, I have heard and read diff, maybe in the cold they arent as sticky but on heated asphalt , they stick.
In the recent Scootering UK, they had an add for Zippys and they said they were all weather tires and handled well in the rain. Ive ridden in the rain a couple of times without a problem, but no matter the tire, I wouldnt trust any tire from slipping.
