The front brake handle is what's not grabbing. I see your in England. Nice spot if your used to Oregon Rain. Anyway, when I kick the lower unit it just slips right on past. I did replace the selector box because there were parts that ended up on the ground, so I knew it was broken. I thought the selector box cables were not tight enough. Since I took it to motion etc, I have been lead to believe that was not the issue. Now I have no idea. Any ideas from you.

Try adjusting the clutch cable. If it's too tight, the clutch will engage and the kickstart won't connect to the crank. If that doesn't work, you could have a broken kickstart gear or something more serious, which would require a rebuild.
To learn about your bike, check out scooterhelp.com or vespamaintenance.com. FYI, your scooter is called a Vespa P200E. |

WRT your brake, make sure the cable is not broken.
Just so you know, the front brake on the P-series bike is not strong enough to lock the front wheel. |
