Well the cold is settling in, the trees are shedding and I (re)discovered a cople of things for wary riders to pay attention to. I had my face shield cracked, riding down a backroad. Some leaves came floating down and I admired them for their graceful fluttering - until one slipped inside my face shield. Big ol' oak leaf blocking my view. Lucky it was a backroad, I pulled over and cleared it out. Next I rounded a corner and those slippery lil suckers almost got me. Good as ice.
Lastly - we had a frost this morning. Some cagers don't want to take the time to clear off the frost. They're lucky if they can see ahead much less behind and to the side. So be wary of these idjits.

Crying or Very sad emoticon I have overgrown crawlies hitting my helmet when I enter a tunnel on our bike-lane. Three times! Somehow I always forgets when I approach the same tunnel.

Sadly, I had to tuck mine in for a long winters nap this past weekend. Roads are icy now, so I'll get to see her again in the spring. Crying or Very sad emoticon

An interesting find as I took one final spin around the neighborhood before I put her away. As I started her up, I noticed the temperature display was flashing and showing 35 degrees. I assume it's flashing to indicate close to freezing temperatures. These Italians think of everything.

I feel your pain, my brothers. Crying or Very sad emoticon Why just last week, the daily highs got down around 90 degrees. If this keeps up, I'll need to wear a shirt over my t-shirt when I'm riding my MP3. Crying or Very sad emoticon

Yeah but there too stupid to calibrate it! Mine is off by a good 11 degrees F. Which is pitiful if you ask me!

Nice ride today 34 degrees F . Ice on the shore, not on the roads. Good coat, good gloves, neck warmer, and lap blanket kept me comfy cozy.

I did notice the blinking thermometer reading though, threw me at first but just hit the "Mode" button to go back to odometer.

The right gear will make winter rider tolerable, but I'll need to watch the forcasts here in Ohio. I do not want to ride in snow if not necessary.

I got nailed by a truck while riding a bicycle some years back by some jerk who couldn't take the time to clear his windshield of the cold morning fog.

And almost got taken out by some lady last week who couldn't see anything because of the really low sun shining right into her windshield as she turned a corner without even slowing down. Have I mentioned how much I love my Stebel?

Bazookas? Maybe one of those experimental pain field generators. They get too close they suffer. Sounds fair to me...

Bazookas leave shrapnel and debris on the road though. I've always been partial to flame throwers. Just make sure you don't blow up the car with it. A nice engulfing flame would probably make me swerve quickly away from the source
