Mine is a Kilimanjaro III, which isn't windproof enough to suit me,
so I put a Driclime wind shirt under it as a liner

I wear the Rev'it! Shade jacket in Marine blue as seen here. Zip out thermal liner, full armour, fully water proof, lots of features and options. So far it's pretty fantastic. I've been really impressed with the Rev'it! stuff. I'm going to get a pair of thier winter gloves next.

I wear the Tour Master Transition II in obnoxious hi-viz! It keeps me warm, and is a little more noticeable in the dwindling day light these months.

Lots of nice little features. For example, when you do up the collar all the way, they have put a nice soft piece of fabric where your chin/jaw rubs. Nice touch.

Richa Air Vent Eagle. Absolutely fantastic - toasty warm, 100% waterproof, understated styling, long tail at the back to keep the bum warm. i've got the all-black model (don't really like the multicoloured ones)

Old Belstaff Trialmaster waxed cotton jacket. Its surprisingly warm and waterproof. But I have to admit, I bought it for the look more than anything else. It goes great with my Davida classic jet helmet and Baruffaldi goggles.

Currently have a old Belstaff cordura/textile jacket. Is a great product and has a zip in fleece liner but age and wear and tear has taken it's toll. Looking around for a replacement and the Olympia brand is leading the search at the moment.

I have been trying to buy the Tour Master Transition Series 2 for the last 3 months and can not find one single site out there that has a XL in stock in Hi Vis. I started looking for other jackets, but now that I see michael_h likes it i think I will just keep on waiting....

I have a Tourmaster Saber 2 which was pretty cheap. I ride with the quilted liner in down to 40 degrees and I am perfectly fine. It is water proof and wind proof.

Tourmaster Trinity 2 series. Have worn it down to 28 degrees so far, and haven't yet put in the quilted lining, but then I tend to wear turtlenecks anyway.

Love that it is well and truly water proof. Do wish it came down a little longer in the back.

Darien
High performance, all-weather, all-purpose riding tools for 'no limit' touring, dual sport, and off-road riding. In atrocious weather this gear will outperform whatever you now wear. For a wider temperature range, the functional Darien jacket comes with a removable TLTec fleece liner inside an unlined, waterproof outer parka. Exclusive features include 500 Denier Cordura® GORE-TEX® outer fabric, removable hard shell TF3 foam elbow and shoulder pads, and generous 3M Scotchlite reflective areas. The fully lined, reversible TLTec insulating jacket is perfect for cool mornings. It folds into its own compact zippered pocket which can be attached to your bike or worn on a belt like a fanny pack. Both liner and shell feature underarm vent zips and plenty of pockets (nine in the outer jacket, six in the liner jacket!). An optional back pad attaches to pre-installed loop. Colors: black, grey, red, hi-viz lime yellow*, or cobalt blue. All Darien jackets come with black details. 36-54. USA.

It's been with me a long time, and the old brown leather beast is still the best I have found. Sleet, Ice, Rain, Snow, whatever (even being blasted point blank in Gatlinberg by a snow machine while 40 ft in the air ROFL emoticon ) amazing jacket. I wear armor under it.

It has a zip out reflector panel on the back (any little bit helps) and the foil between the 2 layers of leather makes it windproof. I do sometimes wish for something lighter, but I always pull it out when it gets cold.

I wear the Darien Light in the cold, great jackets! Not sure how much longer I can put up with this chilliness and early darkness - once that sun drops it feels like 0 degress on the scoot. I need a heated helmet

Me too. But I like the worn and torn look. Adds some distinction, and goes with my grey hair and generally slightly worn features

michael_h, Is this jacket worth waiting for?

I ordered one of these 8 weeks ago after seeing a brown one in store. It is still on back order. Originally Tourmaster said it would be available in mid October now saying November which is about over.

Temperatures here dropping into the 20s F. I am wearing a t-shirt, a lined shirt, light down vest, sweat shirt, summer mesh jacket, and rain jacket and still cool on the way to work. Takes 15 minutes to suit up.

Same here on the Olympia AST. I love my Olympia AirGlide mesh jacket but even with the liner 30F is the limit of comfort. Right now I'm switching between a NorthFace down snowboarding jacket and an Alpha Industries parka.

Missing the armor though, waiting for the motorcycle show to try on a bunch of everything.

I'm a Michigander....if it gets below freezing, I pull on a sweatshirt.

I'm not kidding. It was 19 degrees this morning. I wore a Toledo University (Go Rockets) sweatshirt and shorts. I wear shorts year-round...It isn't cold in the plant.

I'll always enjoy Cali posters showing their "cold" weather gear with palm trees in the backround. ROFL emoticon If I hadn't lived in Las Vegas for 20 years coming from MN I would never have understood....

I have have the Kilimanjaro 4 but I am sure the Kilimanjaro 5 is better. They have so many thoughful places to put things and thay are very adjustable around the waste. I LOVE the HiViz and I wish that was an option when I bought mine. I rode for 2 hours in the pouring rain last week and not a drop of water got through once I closed the zippered/velcro vents. You would be hard pressed to find a better jacket for around $250 or so if you know where to buy. You can use the Gerbring heated gear inside for warmth on those very cold mornings and use the jacket for protection/outer shell.
