The hardest part ( to me ) is pulling the thick part of the harness that's up in the headset end through the small notch for the harness. They tend to be balled up with electrical tape, so i often have to unwrap some of the electrical tape, pull it through, then re-wrap it so that it's thin enough to make it through.

On a P-series, i've heard the easiest way is to start at the horn area ... pull the headset end of it upwards, and the rest of it downwards. Have the brake pedal assembly removed so you can use that access window to help guide it through the channel.

It's also helpful to remove the rear brake pedal assembly. I run a washer on the end of a string from the top of the fork area down through the whole frame and into the gas tank area. Then I attach it to the handlebar portion of the harness and use the string as a gentle guide to pull it through. Don't just yank on the string though. Us the rear brake pedal hole and the horn cover hole as access points to help you on the way.

It's really not that hard. We started calling it "scooter-gynocology" out here because, well, nevermind. As has been said, removing the rear brake pedal is key, as is the tank (duh). You can generally reach through the tunnel from the tank side just enough tp clear most obstructions to the harness, and the brake pedal access hole on the bottom will get you the rest of the way. The fork tunnel is the hardest part, but the P harness is split in two so you can feed the headset harness to the junction box under the horncast really easily.
