During my trip to Instanbul I noticed that most riders don't wear helmets and traffic rules are...let say 'peculiar'

My findings on: My trip to old 'Sultanameth' Istanbul (aka Constantinopel)

Hi funkymartin,
we have very strict & hard laws in turkey. It is very seldom that i ride for some Km's without wearing my helmet but only low speed and less trafic and non Police Laughing emoticon

You may right if you are talking from the early 90'th but not today! doesn't matter if you are tourist or local you will get charged as soon you got snatched.

I think it is a katydid, related, but not the same kind of like a Vespa and a Lambretta.

+1 I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Turkey in the late 90's on a business trip and fell in love with it. I really do want to return and bring my wife. The food was wonderful, the people very nice and the sights in Istambul are amazing.

Some day. All I need is more time and money
