Anyone check out the light show at the Opera House? Saw a newspaper article about it here in the U.S.
My Wife and I rode in on Thursday and Friday nights. Traffic & parking is a nightmare around that part of the City so the Vepa was a must. I think almost every person who owns a Digital SLR and tripod was out that night. For the most part the lightshow was fantastic and it really pulls a crowd.

Thinking so.
I was sure it would be at Redfern but couldn't find that shot anywhere.

After a little more investigation we found it. Dropped round to Cafe Sofia straight after for a coffee. Erskineville has such a great 'little village' vibe.

Is it just me, or does the wall look like it's been riddled with bullets?

In Melbourne this building would still be loved, but in Sydney it has sadly become a dilapidated relic, a casualty of infrastructure.

Snap! This sad and unloved old tram shed at Newtown is a contaminated site, which is probably just as well, or it would have been bulldozed by now and turned into nasty cheap apartments.

Black and white makes an overexposed sky more palatable. Photoshop makes the Vespa modern!

From unloved relics to unloved modernism- many of Harry Seidler's buildings were controversial or even hated, and have fallen into disrepair over the years. Of course, now that he's dead, they are becoming sought after. Case study: This one from 1962 is being fixed up, at great expense I hear.

Classic Seidler- Rectilinear styling, crossover apartments with perfect NNE aspect

This tag's been sitting here too long. BINGO! Vaucluse or Dover Heights not to be confused with the one at Tamarama.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the cafe racer. A guy in my building has the classic Deus custom but sadly he never rides it. If I ever have the spare $ and garage space I'd invest in one to compliment the vespa.
I'll get a new tag up tomorrow hopefully.
