My wife once told me that you could tell how in love a man is with his vehicle by how long after he owns it that he looks back at it after parking it. I noticed today after having purchased my GT in February that when I parked it in my work parking lot that I looked back at it on my way into the building.

I guess I'm still in love...

I've only had Holly for a couple weeks so yeah I am constantly looking back at her, looking out my window at her, and smiling a lot (is it possible to be a stalker of an inanimate object lol)

BTW props for the Princess Bride quote

My scoot is in the garage and my cars are in the driveway. On the days that I don't ride (rain) I still go in and out of the house through the garage just to get a peak at my scoot.

How funny!! Same here. And even while the ET4 was in the shop, the garage space got smaller and smaller but the Vespa space was sure to stay clear!

I am at work today, Second day back from the shop, I have looked out the window atleast 3 or 4 times to make sure she was ok.

Not only do I look back, but I take "bathroom breaks" and walk out to the parking lot to keep her company. I've considered carrying a pack of Gauloises with me to start taking fake smoke breaks to read her stories. I can't believe my wife hasn't accused me of ignoring her yet. I've only had her (the scoot) for 2 1/2 weeks, so it's still a honeymoon for us.

sometimes you will find me laying underneath my scooter or laying beside it in the garage and just look at all the parts and stuff. makes me think of stuff that i could do to it with car parts or unusual parts that i can adapt onto the scooter. my fiance thinks i am crazy.
this may go on for hours. Maybe i need counseling. dr

guilty as charged, I look back as I walk away, I have a birds eye view over the top of her from our breakroom. On rainy days we take naps together, just she and I

I have had my scooter for 11 months, it is a relationship built to last.

I do the same thing, even with my toyota truck. Just like to see who's parked nearby and scan the area for anything that just doesnt seem right. Hehehe, and to admire them from a distance.

I came out from a store many years ago and found some guy sitting in my new Jeep CJ-7, playing with the radio and acting like it was his new Jeep. I think he was trying to steal it, when he saw my friend and I walking towards him, he took off.

I still do, after 18 months.

My GT lives in the garage, and I have a garage key on my scooter key ring. Whenever I go out to the garage, for any purpose, I take that one rather than the key on the garden shed key ring. Just that litttle way of feeling "connected" with the scooter.

We are all nutters, aren't we!

I park mine at work so I can see her out of all the office windows I walk by a million times a day. Reminds me I need to be at work to pay for this nasty expensive habit I've just picked up (vespas) and that I should really put in just a few more hours so I can save for the Lammie. And it also makes the day better knowing I will be getting on her soon to ride the long way home. The bad part is taking her out at lunch - makes for 2-3 hour lunches most of the time when that happens.

I wish I could sleep on her, sometimes. Oh well, scooter dreams are good too.

Well, she is the reason I get out of bed in the morning I have to say . . . I go to work only because I get to ride her twice a day.

I do look back at her, but she's only a month old. My other scoot I didn't love as much . . .

I have the blinds open on the window facing the carport, just so I can stop and look at her every time I walk by. At night, it gives me satisfaction just to see that little red light blinking on the dash. I also go into the carport 2-3 times a day just to stand next to her in amazement and wonderment.

My wife calls my Vespa "girlfriend," and asks me occasionally if I am going to ride "girlfriend" today. I always say, "but...of course!" Laughing emoticon

If this isn't the biggest endorsement for Vespa scooters ever, I don't know what would be more persuasive. Next time somebody comes to the forum asking if they should buy a Vespa or a [fill_in_the_blank], you all should direct them at this thread.

Thanks! If you Google "Italian female names" (or variations of that) you'll find websites that provide alphabetical listings of given names, plus their origins. There are quite a few beautiful Italian names!

As long as you don't look back longer at your scoot compared to looking back at your partner, it's a simple and healthy addiction.
If it's indeed longer, it's a bad relationship.

My wife is always saying,
"You love that scooter more than me".
I know I should say something like,
"You are the love of my life. It's just a scooter".
For some reason I always say,
"Honey, it's not a scooter, it's a Vespa".

We laugh about it now.
