So first let me say that this isn't the first time a Stebel has been installed on a BV500 and Chetwynder posted a great tutorial which I used here:
Stebel Nautilus installation on BV 500

Also pdxscoot helped me by saying that I could add the horn in addition to the factory horn and keep both horns on the scoot.

First Friday night I took the bike apart. I followed all the steps posted by Chetwynder above. NOTE: The 2009 BV500 model is different for the screw behind the crest. After you remove the crest you remove a small screw (not shown in Chetwynder's post). Then you push up on the chrome strip and remove the chrome. Then you'll find the screw that is the same as the one behind the crest on older BV500 models.

In addition to what Chetwynder did I removed the gas cap and trim rubber from the gas filler and took off the piece that covers the gas tank. (This would make it easier to route wire to the battery later.

Friday after removing the panels I could not find the factory horn. (I still don't know where it is). I played around with where to put the Stebel and left it at this point.

Saturday I woke up and had some coffee and breakfast. It was a great day to work on the bike. It was raining and I had no incentive to do anything else!

I then continued on the bike by removing the right plastic from the bike so I could route the wire easier.
I had to pull up on the rubber to get to a screw.

I then routed a ground and positive wire from the location of the horn all the way to the battery.

I installed a 20A inline fuse and screw connectors onto the wires. I didn't hook them to the battery until the wiring in the front of the bike was complete.

I then wired up the wiring diagram according to the stebel manual and Chetwynder's post.

I then took apart my headset and added another horn button I purchased. I tested the connector on the horn to find what connector was tied to the +12V. Make sure the key is on. It was the purple wire. I then plugged that connector into the new switch (I wanted the closest one to my thumb to be the stebel and the farthest to be one I could friendly toot at people with). I then tapped into the purple wire and ran that to the old switch. The other side of the old switch I ran to the relay.

Now I have four buttons on my headset. Two for horns, one for the ignition, and one for my garage door opener.

The horn works great and is much louder than the factory horn.

I like that you were able to keep the original horn. That is an option that I wish I had when I swapped horns on my LX!

I really like it. When I am riding through my neighborhood after work I get little kids that wave at me all the time. I always toot my horn and wave and I think the Stebel would scare them to death.

Laughing emoticon Yeah, that's the only thing stopping me from getting a Stebel.

Will both horns not fit on a GTS at the same time? You might need to get a little creative. I haven't seen a GTS with the front panel removed.
