When I turn on the key my oil light goes out after the computer sets up but before I turn on the engine. I'm thinking my connection at the oil pressure sending unit might be the problem but don't know where the sending unit is. Thanks in advance,
Doug

Have you a manual?

The minimum oil pressure switch connection is the one just to the right of the water pump and back. In the parts manual it is labeled as the oil temperature sensor, but in the GTS workshop manual page 61 (engine) it shows the connection and gives the steps for an oil pressure check, as well as calling it the minimum oil pressure switch. It's just above the oil filter, and has a rubber boot covering it.

cheers

Thanks so much. I don't have a manual yet but I do need to get one. I'll give it a check and see if I can figure it out. Again, thanks very much.

Download here ; Jimc has been generous with information.

Look above the exhaust here for the rubber boot, just right of center.

Sweet. I'll do that. Thanks for the pic also. I think I've just washed my scoot too much and some water may be jacking up the sensor/sending unit. Not too long ago the light wouldn't go off then it was working perfectly and now it's not staying on even with the key on and engine off. It should be fairly easy to correct. Thanks again,
Doug
