Yeah I must make a retraction from my orginal post it was 90 not 95mph and call bullshit all you want but I was the only one on the freeway going from visalia to fresno. The bike had been broken in so I decided to see how fast I could go. I also must note that the revlimiter kicked in while I was maxed out. For those of you who dont know what itys like all of a suden it feels like your engine is bogging down. If I had gotten the ticket I would post it. I dont know how acurate the radars are but I assumed that it is pretty acurate with a single target. I know not to trust the speedo on any bike even gps can be off if not calibrated right. Anywho sorry about the mistake in the orginal post it was 90 not 95mph

unless you have a 130 front tire prepare to be disappointed.
Why, exactly?

I think he was referring to the speedometer accuracy.

I read here somewhere that running a 130 on the front is supposed increases the accuracy of the speedometer a bit.

Speed on a Vespa
Have had two 200GT an one 250GTS had the 2004GT up to 82-83 by the clock on a freeway drafting a truck, the 2006GT had it up to 85 going down a very long hill, but started getting a speed wobble so backed her back down, and my 2007Gts had it up to 91+ by the clock on the freeway drafting a car, will not do that again, real smart for a 68 year old rider, but that why I like Vespa, they bring out the KID in me for sure! an they are so so much FUN to ride......................walterb
