Jess -

A hearty "thank you" for setting up such a well organized ride. It was a pretty good sized group and nonetheless, it all came together. It was impressive seeing all those scooters lined up at the stops.

That tri-tip was fantastic. Seriously. Had some good garlic on it actually...

Glad everyone had a great time! Seriously, I was sweating it the whole time, worried something would go wrong. Nobody went down, nobody broke down, nobody got lost. W00t!

Major, major shout-out to Rex and Gitta for blocking like the pros they are, to my fellow Quitters for stepping up, and to VCLG for letting us participate. And of course, thanks to everyone for showing up!
Jess and the Quitters, thanks for giving Gitta and me the opportunity to work with a bunch of fine people like you, Oz, Francis, Bagel, Venicio, Ian, and others whom I may have left out. Rev, u too for taking on a couple of intersections. Organizing a huge ride like this is difficult. Executuing it is challenging and we're all happy have been a part of it. And of course, thanks to everyone on the ride for cooperating accordingly especially to those who stopped and didn't go through that one interesction I was blocking . I was like, "Why is everyone stopping?" I didn't realize I was actually blocking a cop who then had the green light!

Good times!
Okay, I blew through that light.

I just kept flashing through my head that if we all got pulled over and ticketed then we might have been able to solve the state of California's budget crisis with our fines...

Headline of the Gilroy Picayune two days later: "AmeriVespa Riders Fined for Running a Stop Sign: California is now the Richest State in the US"

I know I'm a pessamist.

kcphelan, I think we met at Doo Dah ride this year and somehow I didn't see you all weekend! (There were people I know who I didn't see until we were pulling out on Sunday, ha.) Maybe I just didn't recognize you without antennae.

I want to thank everyone who helped out with this ride for making my dream come true!. A big Kudos to the Quiters, Rex and Gitta for blocking and MVer "largecar" for the Tritip tip, Curt Fargo for lending me his Camera and all who also assisted and attended this ride.

I thought that after my stupid scooter stunt at Rage which broke my clavicle, all was lost. The unity and support from everyone helps in my rehabilitation.I got to see real teamwork in action and actually enjoyed being Oz's bitch for a day...Huh!?

These are some of the roads that the VCLG enjoy on our monthly Sunday rides. I also live minutes from that Hecker Pass gas station so these are my scooter stomping grounds.

I went very well for having 120 something riders. We had a few mishaps, and a bit of a slow pace but safety is key when in large numbers.

Photos will be put online soon. Keep in mind I have taken thousand of photos and if you have seen my photos you know they're worth the wait. If you see a photo of yourself in one and are interested in getting one, I will send you ONE 8x10 high res, non watermarked photo via internet in exchange for a signed model release. Let me know the photo number seen on Flickr. I would also be very interested if you were wearing a Corazzo gear.

Photos will be here http://www.flickr.com/photos/scooterpics/sets/72157619203133446/

I can also be contacted at peett@yahoo.com

Thank, Pistol Pete

Bummers you missed a good, picturesque ride. People didn't make it back to the lodge til 2-330 depending on what adventure you hit upon on the way back.
