Can someone please let me know how I tighten the brakes on my vespa LX50?

Would really appreciate it as it's my girlfriends bike and she has to pull really hard on the brake levers to engage them properly

Thanks

The front brake is hydraulic and can only be "tightened" by bleeding the system. The rear brake is a drum with a cable. You can tighten it in the rear wheel area under the final drive case. Loosen the lock nut on the front side, then tighten the longer rear part a bit. When it feels ok, re-tighten the lock nut. Make sure you don't over tighten, or the brake will be engaged even when the lever is not pulled.
