Modern Vespa

How do, ive been on the not so modern forum for a while now asking for everyones help and its now paid off, ive finished! Just need a few road trials to dial in gears then ready for MOT.



I picked it up for £250 in November 2008, the guy had bought it off someone when on hol in italy and litterally through it in his RV and drove back to the UK. Anyway was battered, he stripped it, painted the bodywork then lost interest



Anyway after sitting in the house for a while, I eventually gave up on the engine due to numerous issues and got a 150cc lml engine.

I rewired the entire thing, needing to fabricate a new horn button!. Ive replaced most of the little things.


Im still deciding whether to replace the seat but not sure which colour, thinking of dark brown? any ideas?

Im hoping I can get it MOT'ed within a week so I can get it UK registered before my hol in august, to the Isle of Wight which funnily enough is the same time the scooter rally is on! [/img]

Well done, it looks brilliant. Yes, in my humble opinion, I think you should go with a brown seat, something worn and Ralph Lauren inspired.

Cheers all, went out on the first official test run tonight!, works fine except i need to change 1 gear cable as i frayed it bad (too much fiddling with old engine) so once thats done thats it.

Id like a nice brown seat, darker than the tan ones on the newer px's, and wheel cover to match

yep its never had indicators, european 6v no cdi, no key!, originally, now 12v cdi, ket still batteryless though!

Thought the non indicator panels where smooth?? Are them replacement ones with the holes filled??

thats what i thought at first but when my mate media blasted them before he gave up on the project we couldnt see any welds or anything anywhere. Not even grinder marks

so im confused :s
