A) I can't believe the seller would hold it and B) I can't believe the "perspective buyer" doesn't get off his or her ass and get over there before he loses the deal.

My buddy has been trying to contact this guy for a couple days... but he has no phone number or address listed, so we're at the mercy of the seller.

I just noticed that, that he no longer has the anonymous email address even. What a dope. I wonder if he has any idea how many better offers would be sitting in his inbox from the past two days.

Too true.

There's some nice things about detroit ... really, it doesn't seem THAT much worse than any other city i've lived in. I'm certainly going to miss certain aspects when i move to pittsburgh in the next year or two.

Think it would be interesting to ride through the not so populated sections of town. For some reason (lack of traffic maybe?) I enjoy riding through industrial sections of denver.

Yeah, i know all the pittsburgh vintage kids...quite well.

I love the town... my whole family hails from the Emsworth area... grandfather worked in the steel mills there. My sister and brother in law live there currently. I would look for a job there ( CMU hopefully), land something, sell my house here...buy one there ( i'm thinking in the Cranberry area, north of town )... one with a lot of land....and then build a house in the backyard for my parents to retire to.

Melissa is pretty set on getting knocked up like...NOW... and the minute we have a kid i'm going to want to be in Pittsburgh near my sister so i can involve her in the kid's life.

With a 15% unenjoyment rate, Michigan was in the recession two years before the rest of nation....
Seems like a lot of treasures are popping up for sale here....
I have seen people walking away from houses, full of furniture, clothes, boats in the back yard, even pets.....It's very sad....

It's a real buyers market here!

I'm a big fan of Old Detroit. It reminds me of a lot of old industrial cities around here that "once were". There is nowhere to go but up from where these places are at right now. Take a look at some of the old craftsmanship on some of these buildings. The artist put all their heart and soul into their jobs back then. I like a lot of other people come from a city that once was. My city was built around a cascading three level canal system on the Conn. River. It was called the "Paper City" it supplied more then 75% of all the writing paper to the World in the Mid 1900's. But now its becoming a burnt out parking lot...I like old things that can last.
