I just got a 2009 white S 150 on Friday! I upgraded from a Vino 125 and I absolutely love it. The S150 has "open storage compartments" where other models have a glove box. I can't find a water bottle small enough to fit in them, my cell phone fits but I'm sure it will fall out while riding. Are there any S 150 owners out there who could share their uses for this "feature?"

I kept a pen in there. You never know when you might need a pen.

Is it big enough to hold a beer (while parked of course), red bull or something maybe?

Hip flask.
Cable ties and some wire cutters.
Sealed container of decent tea-bags.
Spare batteries for camera.
Some wipes to get bugs off the visor.
Piaggio version of a Leatherman multi-tool.

Those things are safer than they look.
I've had a S125 for about a year now. On long rides, I keep my phone and my cigarettes in there where I can get at them easily if I pull over somewhere. I haven't dropped anything yet.

I'm not sure that a beer bottle would fit, also not sure about how loose the open liquor laws are here in Texas

I'll definitely keep a pen in there, but I'd worry that everything else would get stolen while it was parked!

Thanks for the suggestions!

That's what the pet-carrier is for... when parked, lock all your stuff under the seat.
