Not the quality of a Givi but not the price either:

Seems like it would go pretty well on my black GT and no extra backrest needed.

We put the larger model on my wife's BV250. It's not what I would call a great topcase, but it is quite functional and nice enough.

I got one for Father's Day as a gift. I'm out of the country right now but plan to install it on the Symba when back.

Please take a close look at the Shad topcases. I've owned the Bestam which is almost identical to the JCWhitney and almost purchased a Givi. The Bestam is just too flimsy and cheap. It can be hard to latch closed and will rattle more than the Givi and Shad.

The Shad is by far my favorite since it has the quality of the Givi, but you don't have to use a key to open it unless you lock it. Both the Givi and the Bestam require a key to open every time and this is annoying.

There is a review of the Shad on justgottascoot.com and you should read it. I have the Shad 29 in red and black to match my red and white Symba. In retrospect I may have gotten the Shad 40 cargo that comes with a built on hard plastic luggage rack on top that would be great to bungy even a large jacket to while still having all the inside storage.

I have one on my Honda and it has been worth the money. The fact that it can be taken off easly is a big plus.

You will need an adaptor to make it work on a GT. I also have the Shad on my LT150, and it is a great case and they have the adaptor plates.

Correct, in fact I've had one on the last few bikes I've owned. Perfect size for me and never had one let me down!

Cheers,

Bob
