I've been thinking about storage on my bike lately. Thought it'd be cool to have 2 sections, a "toolbox" dirty stuff like oil, tools, spark plugs and spare stuff while still having a "glovebox" for, you know, gloves and stuff.

Found This cowl that will fit my P it says I need to modify my frame to make it work.

Does anyone know the mods I need to make? how serious?

I know I'll have to put the spare on a rack, which I'm fine with.

Thanks,

Almost got the bike up and running again, it's been a bit of a saga.

hmmm... i wonder if the modifcation means removing the spare tire bracket that's there, or chopping it near the bottom.

I don't know anyone who's ever done this before. I DO know people who just took their P200 cowl ( or bought a spare LML one from scooterworks ) and just made their own by making a template out of cardboard or foam-core, then cutting a piece of flat steel and welding it along the bottom seam. there was no glovebox hole at the top - they kinda installed a "Back" to the cowl, so if you removed it, it was sorta like a box with an open upper area to put dirty stuff in....oil, tools and such. Things you wouldn't want to access quickly. It kept the stock look...i.e. it didn't look like a Bajaj when it was done

Yes Eric he will indeed need to remover the spare wheel holder/battery tray. And grind it flush then repaint.

Personally if you are looking for more storage then just replace your toolbox with a old bajaj one. Almost twice the carrying space

Cheers
