It's a 82 PX80 with Malossi 166 kit. Obviously not my taste in accessories...seems to be an oddity around my parts..just curious

Too slow... even with the kit... Depending on the condition from what I've seen so far... $1100.00

Mate, I like it. Given your market in CA it may be higher than i could justify.
I think $800-$1200 is fair for a kitted Euro P80. Though my mate just bought a 79 P2 for $3000? The scooter from the picture, looks great mate. Cheers |

This PX80 I'm looking to get for my mom..it's slow and it's all there ready to ride. |

I'm not really sure a P166 should be considered 'slow'. I once had a 166 kit on an otherwise unmodified Super, and that thing was a little neck snapper, at least on the low end!
I'd expect this to be priced where a local P125 would be... maybe 1800-2200 in the local market. More if in exceptional condition. Seller's asking price is exactly what I thought asking price would be. |

P80's are cool too
It comes back to supply and demand. A 166 kit is great for local rallys and city riding. Though beyond that a P2 is best suited for all out and about riding IMO.
I don't know what the seller is asking but i bet there is $400 in the accessories, seat etc. And the kit's aren't cheap either. I just found out last week that factory p2 efl's motors are going for $2,600.00 at motorsport. So i guess $2,500-$3,000 for a P2 isn't silly after all. Personally mate, i would hold out for that P your looking for. Cheers |

that price is pretty decent. it's not what i would pay, but still a decent price for what appears to be a clean, complete and pretty unmolested bike. but seriously, the days of cherry 500.00 bikes are gone. these days you gotta roll at least 1500 to play.
2000~2400 isn't out of sight for a 125 that's been worked up. i have one that i'm currently going thru and it's gonna get a kit, pipe, and a full rebuild and i'll be trying to roll it for about that. best, -greasy |
