[/quote] Does that mean you can drive over there without insurance?? Here in ON, you don't licence without it. If you have outstanding traffic violations, you don't licence. If you are late with child support you don't licence. You folks over there, have a much more "user friendly" system. |

First off, glad you're ok. Whats wrong with the bike?
Also, I think every Audi driver drives like a cock so that people don't mistake their cars for the VW's they are based on..... |

ooh, this thread makes me want a curry. easily solved with barwachi, and their chef pushpa who's well know in bombay apparently, only a phone call away.
i must say, i don't think the audi was the essence of this incident. it was the fact that cagers just don't look before they suddenly change direction, whereas any scooterist worth his/her salt wouldn't dream of swerving across the road without looking first. still, it's friday, i'm on my second beer, and a curry will be on its way in a couple of hours. life is sweet. despite its mishaps. |

I agree about the car. It wasn't the Honda that knocked me down last week. It was the dorky young driver - who did not look. If I had been in a car I would still have been hit. Although I do exercise paticular caution around white SUVs. I have seen enough poor driving in several of these to make me watch out for them, especially near a school drop off zone.

You stayed upright and were uninjured - well done you!
You were virtually stationary when a cock in a cum-mobile bumped into you. IMO you deserve to continue saying 13 years without falling off. Good luck with the insurance and wishing you another 13+ years of trouble free riding. |

Amazing track record and hope that the wounds of the soul heal soon. I am glad that your legshield took the beating but not your leg!
Could this accident have been averted by not driving at night, the probable distraction of the marvelous smell of the BBQ with your parents, (beer, the T-Bones, bell peppers in olive oil slightly burned, some yellow corn that we have in this latitude, companionship, et al) or perhaps avoiding the nightmarish rush hour traffic, and of course seeing the "cum" license plate on the A4 beforehand as a signal of an inexperienced, young, albeit wealthy driver insured? Could we the two wheelers, scooterists, cyclists and motorcyclists be spared of the carnage in our highways (a fact of life and death in Costa Rica), imposed by the four wheelers without any sensibility nor expertise towards us? Thanks for your account, and may you put a pin in your parka with the serigraphy of an A4 like the RAF pilots used to paint in their planes the Fokewulfs that they downed during WWII! |
