I am 26 and am currently a student transferring to Iowa State University from DMACC for Art Education. I play in several bands in the DSM area and enjoy punk, hardcore, and traditional to non-tradtional ska amongst other scattered genres.
I don't really own a modern Vespa, but to those who own 50's/60's era Vespa's it is modern to them. I have a 1979 P200E and have owned it for a few years now.
I got into scooters about 5 years ago and saved up and bought an 02 Honda Metro and rode that around for 2 years until I was fortunate enough to have a friend who had a Vespa and had recently crashed it and wanted to trade! He is a shorter fellow so the Metro fit him better and he scared himself from wanting to ride it again. So I took it and had help from friends nursing it back to a daily rider. I ride it whenever I can and I love it!
I belong to the Knuckle Draggers Scooter Club based out of the Quad Cities on the Iowa/Illinois boarder. We have a rally coming up in a month so if you haven't heard about it, I can post info about that.
