About a year ago I had a person help solve this same problem. Can't reach him now... but he said he adjusted the carb. screws accordingly.
I'm not exactly sure what screws he was talking about.
When I kick start it ( about 7- 10 kicks) it will start but gas coming out of exhaust and gets the rear wheel all covered in junk.

It might be an easy fix. What screws may those be?

Thank you,

I don't know about the symptom, really, but I will say that 7-10 kicks seems like a lot. Do you know if you get a good spark? Has your piston/cylinder head ever been "decoked?" I feel like it shouldn't take 10 kicks to start... might explain the flooding

Hi Mate, Let's start with your idle screw, the one that sits on top of your carb.

There is no need to remove the air box cover just now.

When it does start does it idle?

Cheers

okay, just so that we're all on the same page here... when you say "gas coming out the exhaust" is it actually liquid fuel or is it just goopy nasty two stroke funk?

assuming that it is indeed fuel, then you've got a problem. could be minor, could be major. see, if you've got fuel in the exhaust, that means it's had to go thru everything else to get there. and that would be bad.

so, on the easy side you may need a quality carb rebuild with a new float and needle. possibly a new fuel tap as well if that is broke and stuck flowing (or really, even questionable). drop and drain the exhaust. pull the plug and kick it over a million times to clear the fuel from the case and then put in a new plug and see what have you.

on the not so easy side, the fuel has filled up the cyl and compression area and repeated attempts to start it have forced fuel past the crank side seal and into the gear box. by draining the gearbox oil you will know in the way that the oil will be gassy smelling. generally when this happens the seal has been breached and a rebuild generally will ensue-- or at least a clutch side seal, which, really, is a rebuild.

check and report back.

best,
-greasy

Mate, Greasy has covered it all here. Hopefully your issue is minor oppose to a rebuild as mentioned.

Not that it's a bad thing, rebuilds are good for you

Waiting for the next installment.....

Cheers

Greasy thank you and all others...
I finally got a hold of the person who helped me last time.. He said exactly what Greasy said. About pulling the spark plug and trying a new one... or maybe replacing the unit, float , fuel tap..so forth.

thank you all... I'll give it a try..
