Can anyone PM me with the instructions on how to open the seat and or trunk, key doesn't respond hopefully just a burnt fuse...I have an MP3 400...i don't have a lot of post, but I am a member of the Sacramento Royal Bastards Scooter club...you can see my pic on their site on page 3...Michael...

Forgive me if I'm pointing out the obvious.  The rear trunk latch doesn't rely on anything electronic and requires no trick to open if you have a key in hand.  The system is purely mechanical.

To open the rear trunk, insert the key in the ignition, push the key inward (so that the lock cylinder itself is pushed in a couple mm or so), and then turn the key counterclockwise.

As for the seat, when you say it doesn't respond to the key, how unresponsive is it?  Do you hear the seat release work but the seat stays locked, or is there no sound from the bike at all?  Does the green LED on the key light up when you press the button?

Did you put the straps for the side bags under the seat? If so, try pushing down on the seat while pushing the remote, when you hear the click, pull up on the seat.

you can also get ahold of big bastard and have him show you the emergency method of getting into the seat.

have you tried using the key in the ignition and push down and turn in the oppisitate direction of opening the gas lid?

Also if you took a couple of days off of riding to install your cases your remote key will not work to open the seat. You need to insert the key into the ignition and then depress the seat release. To open the trunk is exactly was previous have already written.
