First off, how I got into this mess. I've never had a moped so 2 weeks ago, I went to go see Carrot (and orange 1998 ET4 125). It was a mess but I had to buy it because it was instantly the coolest thing ever and I needed to nurse her back to life.

Anyway, I've had 2 weeks of searching for parts for a pre leader (the worst was trying to find the cooling fan cover... tried Vespa places, Aprilia, ect and I gave up!). The wiring was a mess so I bought one off ebay. It ended up being for a leader... instead of taking it back, today I bought a second hand leader engine. Basically, I want to keep Carrot for a long time and I don't think I'll be able to get parts for her as easily as the leader engines.

I've been replacing the harness and so far, I have 2 extra plugs at the instrument panel and I had to "modify" the horn bracket to get the ignition switch in. All fine, I can sort these out.

Now, here is the big problem. The pre leader version has an immobiliser box and then a CDI. The leader just has 1 box for both. The keys I've got are programmed with the pre leader immobiliser box and CDI. Not sure what to do... is there any way to get the new CDI programmed to my old keys?? What else can I do?? It's killing me!!
