Modern Vespa

I was leaving Scooter Superstore Friday wating for light to turn onto Ponce DeLeon. A beggar was approaching the line of cars and looking
for a handout. As he came to me I was prepared to send him on, but was surprised by his questions:
Him "Never saw one of those before"
Me "They sell them a block back."
Him " How much do they cost?"
Me "$9,000"
Him "How much is the deposit?"
Me "10%"
Him "What are the payments?"
Me "Don't know."
Him "Nice bike, I like it"
Me "It is a lot of fun."

The light changed and I moved on.
He never held out his bucket asking me for a handout.

MP3's can appeal to anybody.
Based on the beggars questions I would say he is making an Ok living at his chosen profession.

He prolly thought "That thing is too dirty to wipe off for a buck...I'll just ask questions about it" Just kiddin...The Atlanta paper did a story a few years back(when I was living there) that found several beggars all clearing six figures from panhandling on certain highways. The stories were prompted when one of the writers watched a man park his Mercedes in a parking lot, exit looking like a bum, and walk two blocks over with his sign to a street corner and begin his day job.
