okay, so I have a Hawk modular helmet, with an integrated tinted visor. Does anyone know of an open face helmet, that also has an integrated tinted visor? HJC has one, the IS-33, but I was looking for other options as well. 8)

Open face...don't know.
HJC Sy Max II (flip up chin bar) with slide down (internal) tint shield. Still affords you opportunity to flip up chin bar and you effectively have a 3/4 (while not riding). I have one and it's nice not having to separate sunglasses. Fiberglass construction fairly lightweight. |

I've been looking for about 4 weeks now. I'm 99% sure after trying about about a half dozen or so helmets that I'm ordering the HJC IS-33 this week...

I advise against one with the built in visor. With sunglasses on you are looking through 3 pieces of plastic. I used mine for few days before I figured out it was useless.

I recently got an IS-33 and have to admit that it's pretty nice!
(I REALLY hate to admit that LouisQ was right ) Family helmet lineup: ![]() You can see a review of these (from my perspective) on Scooter Diva, at: http://scooterdiva.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5016&start=0 |

What a bummer that they don't make one like the helo helmet I used to have. It had built-in clear and tinted visors. You slid down whichever one you wanted to use.

I bought the HJC IS-33 a couple weeks ago and I really like it. Very comfortable helmet. It works best in combination with my windscreen. Without the windscreen, it's a little noisy. Also, I find the built-in sun visor to be very useful.

Got me a white Nolan N42, with both a full regular and a smaller tinted flip-up face shield, that I really like! 8)
The new models are called N42com, which means they have space for headset communications. If you don't need this you can prolly pick up the older plain N42 a lot cheaper... |

I got this helmet a few months ago and love it. Web Bike World has a good review:

I prefer the 3/4 style myself, with a full-face type flip shield and a smaller flip sun shield, such as the Nolan N42 has. Looking thru double plastic is never a problem at all for me (even with sun glasses on), and the last time I rode with my lower face unprotected a large June bug smacked into it and gave me a nasty fat lip!! ![]() |
