Modern Vespa

I've an ET and have this idea to put rear guards on the bike to mount rear foot pegs to?
Am I starting something new here? Adjustable foot pegs? or just missing some major hiccup?
They seem to mount in two different places, ones on top of the rear pan & one seems to go all the way under..

here is my 2001 ET4 all done up in pealing cuppini chrome, I liked that it made it look wider but if I had kept it I would have had to rechrome the bars, It started rusting and pealing soon after but as long as I was cleaning it and storing it inside it was holding out. I can't imagine what it would have looked like if it had been kept outside.

very lovely clean white ET.. I am getting the whole shebang on mine soon.. very good for london hussle 'n' bussle parking.. we don't want the baby having a dents do we??

Do you think it would have been strong enough to hold foot pegs?

I was thinking of powder coating as I've heard before about rusting.

if you are thinking foot pegs on the bars for a child. They may work but you wouldn't want to have them step on them with their weight. I think, what Chad has would be better, but if you didn't want that look and wanted them further back I think if you were gentle it could work. Not exactly the strongest stuff or the best product this cuppini stuff ... two things I would suggest if you go with them is make sure you put some kind of antirust paint or coating where the rear bars go under the rack so you don;t end up rusting the bike. Also the front mudguard thing is a tension fit. I lost mine once when I hit a bump at 100kph and ran over it. A little dangerous, I would never have another one of those but if you do there are brands that make them with a bar that goes up and screws to the fender fastener, I would try to find one like this or modifie this one to have that kind of fastener.

I'm loving that rear chrome guard, the way the top bar runs straight with the bottom bar doing the curves. And the rear bar snakes it way up...

The chrome is the HL Brand (i think it stands for High Line) from Germany. You can get them from SIP.

I got mine from Vespa Burlington in Canada and they said that they got them from SIP or that is what they told me. I know that they look different than the picture. I was a little surprised when I got them but I really like the way mine are instead of the way they are pictured. Seems to be a better design.

I think for what I'm thinking the "cuppini chrome" looked strong enough to hold a young lads feet.
But he's off to a different school now.
Now it's just me I think I'll go for one of them S 50cc single seats... nice.
