...or are the constant complaints what give this board it's substance? I seem to see a lot of complaints about Cagers, Scooter dealers, and Motorcycle riders to mention a few (not passing judgment, just asking).

I think its fairly certain from previous posts that most of us are gimping asshat my little pony lovers who sit on the sofa eating a tub of Haagen Arse in the evening.
Plus whinging is actually a sport in the UK so please don't exclude us. |

Life is not all hearts and flowers. Sometimes people just want to unload. Some days do seem to be a bit heavy-handed in the complaint department, I agree. I spend half my life as a "cager," so I just ignore all those anti-cager comments. If you look back, you will see that the "dealer" threads are more biased TOWARDS the dealers than against, because dealer complaints are frowned upon.

*sigh* Welcome to modern vespa.
Seriously though. I think it stems from the fact that many scooter riders are very new to riding and haven't figured out all the ins and outs of motorcycling. Those that have, know how to fix that which can be fixed, and have learned to deal with that which cannot be fixed. |

There is a bit of irony in a post whining about whiners. But the world of Vespa is supposed to be about half a bubble off center anyway, no?

I don't care for whining...and if posting lends itself down thes path of...I don't go there.
Need to accept the fact that any forum will have a mix of questions, advice, relevent, non-relevent messages and sometimes even someone just reaching out as a means to vent...perhaps even laced with some whining. |

It sounds to me like you are winning a bit yourself. Yes you do have to slog your way through several post that mean nothing to you and make you feel ashamed to even be logged in. But that is what you have to do to find some info that might be of value. Not stop crying and drink another beer.

There is a marked difference between WHINERS who are usually international.... and..... WHINGERS who are basically jealous middle class English with very long noses and very short memories.

Whiners ... hmm -- I think more it's a place to vent w/ others who have something in common, it's also a place to bitch & moan about encounters one has had that others may have had or may experience. So having said that -- has anyone seen my cheese & crackers?
