So I bought the raffle tickets & drew the front disk kit at Amerivespa....rock'n...

So the problem is it came with no paperwork....so I have no idea which kit it is....the 16mm or 20mm.

The question is which bearing on the hub determines which axle size my kit is for?

Outer hub race?...inner hub race?.....pivot race?

Wanna put it on a 81 P range scooter.....ie 16mm axle

thanx in advance...

On the 16mm version, The I.D. of the outermost bearing in the hub is 12mm. The inner needle bearings are 16mm.

Does that help? Is it one of the SIP boxed sets?

SIP sells boxed Grimeca sets. I was going to offer to swap it out in case it was the wrong size, but only if it was comparable.

Its a 20mm....ordered the PX fork from Max....thanx Max & Motorsport for having the part, no one else did.(Well SIP did....but dam shipping...)

As a side note Moritz of SIP gave me the shops secret sauce recipe for a dependable tuned P lump and I'm gonna go for it. Now all I gotta do is pull the P motor from the Rally....rebuild the 180 original motor thats been sitting for years...then throw $$ at the P....but at least I have brakes now....

Should be ready in about 3 years, time permitting....

Nope, the locals have pretty much stripped our pile of cylinders and snagged the 180s. No idea who might have one.

Pulled the 180 motor apart tonight with new eyes.....been on the shelf for 6 years. Glad I did not try to rebuild it earlier. The internals are solid...gears almost perfect.....still need to get to the tree, but everything inside is dam near perf....who'd a thunk t. Not me for one.

The cylinder is fine.....just needs a bore & new piston. Thankfully.

Gonna be very cool to return the bike to stock....well almost stock.
