Her new record is really good, if you haven't heard it yet. That's what's playing in my car (along with The Reducers and a bunch of free sampler disks from Record Store Day 2012).

On a side note:

Two of those dudes had to wait in line to get in the bar I work at. I was manning the door. At one point, a girl says, "I can't believe you have to wait in this line to get in a fucking bar. Do they know you sold 65 million records?"

I offered the girl a pen to write down all the people in the line who've bought a Green Day record. She didn't take me up on the offer.

I'll add that they waited in line like everyone else.

Some DubStep track I'm using for a work thing... I've been listening to the same noise over and over and over and over and over and over since 8am and it's quarter to 8pm now... Non friggin' Stop! I'm going to kill myself if I can't get this "bombastic bass drop" OUT OF MY HEAD!!! I liked it this morning Boom wha wha wha whawah rrrrrrr zz zz zz Boom Zap zz zzz zzzzzzzzz... Holy crap Aaarrrgghhh...

The best way I know of to dislodge something stuck in my head is by listening to Lou Reed's 1975 double album Metal Machine Music. (And yes, I really do like this record. I have it on LP, CD, and 8-track.) I guarantee it will scrub away anything you've got stuck.

I *was* listening to Blur - Girls and Boys, when I was in my car three hours ago, my brain hasn't caught up with my ears -_-

Farace... I have one word to say about that album....

Most people don't get more than five or ten seconds in, but I love that record. One of these days I'm going to find the quadrophonic version at a reasonable price. (All Reed did for the two extra channels needed for quad was to copy the two stereo tracks and reverse them.)

Ha. I could see that. I've dealt with them a lot over the years in the bay area for music gear... they've always acted very everyman with no star trip. Especially Mike.

Would you rather I use Google to do searches of everyone's usernames and then start sending personal messages to everyone and acting like I know your real name and where you work?
