All the UK bands that became UK punk were within a year of the Ramones first tour over there. and interviews of the bands themselves at the time said, It was the Ramones. I dont know much of the Dolls, so I cant say otherwise.

I love the Ramones. I'd rather listen to them than the Dolls frankly.

I'm not a punk snob or any where near a punk devotee.

I've been fortunate enough to grow up with many of my favorite bands.

We would go see BadBrains and Minor Threat at keg parties. Out here I was able to be around the Crawdaddys, Manual Scan, Untouchables. One of my besties to this day had a band called Entropy and they would headline for Nofx and some other great LA based bands. I went to a mothers day party with the Peppers.

I have to say when I wanna hear some punk, I usually go for LA punk and I typically go for Wasted Youth when my pal Danny was the front.
