I love the Smashing Pumpkins, but I can't listen to them without getting depressed. 26 years old and looking for my second youthful age like many of you guys, feel like I wasted my first.

I saw the Pumpkins back in '94-'95. I was 25 at the time. One of the worst concerts I've ever been to. It was awesome. A band out of Chicago called "Red Red Meat" opened for them. They were awful.

The Pumpkins opened up with the car chase from "Bullit" on the stage screen. The volume got louder and louder until everyone was holding their ears. Seems like they broke into "Cherub Rock" right at the start.

Back then I was a long haired guitar player with stars in my eyes. My band had about seven originals and then life happened.

At 26 your life is just about to start. Make your choices for the right reasons and you won't go wrong. I'm still chasing my youth. The difference is I feel it more the next day than I used to.

I mean, I remember back when I was in school, all we had to worry about was nuclear annihilation by the Soviets. Good times, man ... good times.

But the 90s was between the Nuclear Annihilation of the Cold War and the Nuclear Annihilation by Terrorists/Rogue State... Oh rose colored glasses.

But seriously, it wasn't about the reality of the situation of the 90s (come one I remember the whole scares about former soviet scientists and nuclear/biological/chemical weapons), it was the attitude. Like everything was good, the future was bright, we could solve everything.

Quit playing 90s bands that make me feel nostalgically depressed.

Hang on a sec while I spin up some "Hanson" or "Creed" for you ...

That'll end your love affair with the '90s.

Creed had some okay songs..
