I was listening to REM's Dead Letter Office LP last night.

What an outstanding recording. A rather odd compilation of their "B" sides and practice sessions.

My favorite song is "Voice of Harold" - To quote a line from the song -

And to comment on some former posts...my son was all Into that screamo shit to the point where he did some vocals for his buddies bands at local teen clubs. I gave him crap about it for a while, then decided that I guess our parents thought the same when they heard us blasting the Kennedys, pistols, suicidal, black flag... and the run dmc, nwa, too short and early snoop. I guess Rammstein was pretty close to the gutteral croak the kids like.

That was the first album I ever bought when I was about 12. Still sounds great.

The first 3 REM albums blew my young mind. Kinda lost interest after that. Sheesh, I'm on a bit of a nostalgia trip here.
