Got the honor to meet him and spent a night filming behind the scenes of a sort of music video for this song with him for a March madness tease at work a few years ago. He was suffering from cancer at the time and passed shortly after we did that. Nicest guy I ever met and you could hear his sadness about what he was going through in his voice. He said we made him so happy to do that and give him a night out to perform after dealing with hospitals for months.

I will remember him and that night forever.

Watched a documentary on The Smiths on YouTube yesterday. Quality isn't great but worth watching if you like them.

What are the chances of that? I happened to put on a very old Smiths shirt today...then a few hours later saw your post.

I'm too young to have heard him the first time around, but I listened to his "Black & White Night" cd in the car on Friday while on the road doing repairs for clients. I was sublime, matched him note for note!

The whole Black and White Night concert is my favorite thing on YouTube. I believe you, but gonna need proof. Trust, but Verify!

Dua Lipa's "Don't Start Now". The driving bassline caught my attention on the way to work the other day. It's a straight uptempo disco tune. Even has orchetration. There's a "Live in LA" version that's a bit longer but was recorded with live musicians. I prefer this version, though there are some vamping by the musicians.

Ed Sheeran "Blow" with Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mar's. Also, Ed's "South of the Border" With Camilla Cabello and Cardi B. Could do without the Cardi part but it doesn't kill the song.

Speaking of Camilla Cabello, I am digging "Senorita" Her duet with now boyfriend Shawn Mendez. I'm literally the only one in my family of 5 that likes the tune. It's ALL over top 40 radio right now.

Dead Kennedy's.. man I forget sometimes how good they were.. Yeah I was a Mod and scooter boy but my musical tastes even back then between my friends and I were pretty all over. Not to mention the "scene' in Montreal made so many of us in counter culture sort of cross over and hang out together. Funny thing is most of my friends really in the the DK's mostly went to private school and very expensive ones at that.

Maybe TMI but our tub is really nice spot the room wired for sound (Sonos pair) . We will sit in the tub with a bottle of bubbly and I pick out tunes and we play a game. I go with a theme and my wife has to guess. Yesterday was songs with animals so yeah this one.. and Baby Snakes, Wondering where the lions are, Octopuses Garden, Stray Cat Strut, Do the Dog, Cat's in the Cradle, Crocodile Rock, A Horse With No Name, etc, etc.. It's fun and a great way to beat the heat or the cold... We can literally spend hours down there just relaxing and forgetting about the world.
