VARAFLAME awesome pics. I haven't been there yet but it's on my list
My attire is shorts and a t-shirt so i might be in trouble
In saudi i worked with a few nurses from Lapland. Talk about cold but the pics they had were awesome also. Being from America we don't tend to learn other languages. Sad really.Altho i had latin, and french in school i didn't use them so i've forgotten them years ago. My dutch friends speak 5 languages well. I did manage to learn arabic which i still remember. It's easier to learn a language when you live in the country since then you are forced. Enjoy your S
Thank you
Yes, shorts and t-shirt would not cut it...I was very well dressed, and I still got pretty cold. When that photo next to the lagoon was taken, I was wearing three layers of clothing and three pairs of wool socks...And it still got a bit cold.
I'd love to see hawaii some day. I've heard that it's got lava and volcanoes like iceland...And more sun!
I've been to lapland (the finnish part) once, it's lovely. And very far north and in some ways similar to iceland, but in others entirely different. For example, there are no forests to speak of in Iceland, but lapland has plenty of those. At least the parts I visited.
It is easier to learn a language when living in the country...Though, I've heard that icelandic is extra-difficult (every word has a gender, every word changes unpredictably depending on the structure of the sentence/past/future etc). But I can't imagine it being more difficult than arab.
