Hi Everybody!

I'm so thankful you all are here when I get in a pickle, every time i have a problem it's good to know the faithful scooterists here can help.

So, I was here a couple of months ago because my Key broke off in the ingition and everyone, but Jim especially was super helpful. So, I finally got the new ignition and now i am having a heck of a time installing it. I talked to my local dealiship, but they have never done this before and though very helpful, couldn't tell me exactly how to crank the darn thing open.

anybody have any experience with this?

You gotta get the glove box off. There is a slot cut perpendicular to the tube the lock cylinder lives in. there is a wire clip retainer you gotta nab with a dental pick and a small needle nose to release the lock cylinder.

If the lock is not in the 'locked' position, then the removal will be relatively easy. If it's still locked, then the barrel will have to be drilled out.
