I wonder if something like this would work for the GTS. I know theres a bearing on the case, but something like this might keep the belt cooler and make it last longer, especially for those that live in hot climates. Food for Thought.

having owned italjet dragsters id say the extra holes will let more dust ,dirt and water in .and shorten the life of the belt

Dragsters are cool my buddy has one, but here in southern cal it doesnt rain much.
But I dont think Dragsters have problems with hot belts do they? The Ruckus guys ride the crap out of those scoots. The GTS on long trips at high speeds have issues with hot belts. |

You might be able to modify a stock GTS one with some extra vents. And maybe make some sort of sort of filter/s to bolt on when raining?

I've repeatedly scoped out the ribs on the stock transmission case to see what I might be able to remove for extra venting. You definitely need to retain the clutch shaft bearing, but I think you could remove a bunch of material and maybe even gain some aesthetic interest on top of the extra venting.
The GT/GTS belt definitely runs hot. It could certainly use some venting. Plus, it would let far more dust out than it would let in. |

maybe an extended channel or slit cut into the bottom of the case would help the airflow as well. Since the air port is on the front of the case this would precipitate airflow thru the case. As it is now there is only the small hole under the clutch to let air out.
