Continuing saga - for those who've been reading (Post: Code Blue):
Replaced battery (good), Replaced the fuse next to the battery...
I found a mechanic (Frank) out here in the 'wilds'... but he's not a Vespa man. we replaced the fuse, it ran for a while, but this morning I dropped it in some sand - still running on ground - I shut it off to pick her up, and then it blew the fuse again... subsequently every fuse I put in blows before I can even get a start. Frank doesn't know where to go next. We think it must be electrical, but I did not get a manual w/ this bike. I found an LX150 manual online - is it the same(ish)?? I need help TODAY... any ideas?

HELP!

Hi Lu,
Sorry I haven't gone to dig up your earlier post, but have you considered Vespa Boston? Chris, the head mechanic there, is pretty decent. He'll get it fixed for you, though they are pretty busy so it won't be overnight.

Sounds like a short somewhere. In the very least your mechanic friend and you should trace the wires as thoroughly as you can and look for exposed wire which might be touching something it shouldn't.

Thanks... Chris is my regular Boston mechanic - he's great! ...but as I said in earlier post... I'm on outer cape w/no truck (tow) to help until after summer... this is my only vehicle. Luckily, Frank's across the street - rolled her over there. Hoping for help for us to diagnose here... do you know, is LX150 manual same as LX50?

Is LX 4T Workshop manual good for LX50?
I got the download named LX50 Manual, but the LX4T was what downloaded. On another link for LX50 the LX150 downloaded... are they all the same?

In the states an LX50 is a 4T (4-stroke), as is the LX150, so that manual probably is fine for your scoot

Thanks... & update!
Thanks!!!

It turns out there is probably a short behind her 'kill' switch... my mechanic (non-scooter mechanic) figured it out, but couldn't (or didn't want to) get inside... so he stuck a stick behind it to prevent it shutting off unless I mean to (force it) use it. so far so good...until I can get her to a proper Vespa mechanic back home.

I appreciate your support!!
