Curently I'm running with no topbox as it hits the frame I had a suitable one on order but looks like they're out of stock.

Any ideas? I have the auto lube disconencted.

Hmmm...only the lid should hit the frame. I rocked a P200 engine in my rally for years without issue...but i just had your average metal lid on the carb box...like, for a super or sprint or vbb or something.

Other than that, it should fit in there fine.

*edit* wait...i remember that it was hard to get the engine swung into place if you put the front swingarm bolt in, and then tried to pivot up the back end - the carb box would block this. I typically had to kinda lower the frame down on top of the engine, and attach both bolts at the same time, rather than swinging it into place.

Some of the travel of the engine is thus limited by the frame... it never was a problem for me, besides rubbing away a bit of paint right on the inside lip of the frame where the carb box meets it.

You could put the rear shock spacer from a P-series on the shock. It's a little longer.

hmm,

thanks guys, I may go with extending the shock. I did manage to cram it in there once but it ended up effecting the running of the engine (tilting and letting air in I guess?) and i did'nt like the idea of scraping paint.

I've shopped around but this was the only seller describing the box specifically for a p in a rally.

Do you mean "Top"

Mate what year is your P2 motor? There are two different air box tops.

If you have a PX200E (MY) then the cover is too tall. I fitted a new motor in a rally over the winter and had no issues with rubbing.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
