Modern Vespa

You've got to understand, this is Utah, and we were riding up to the High Uintas (over 10,000 feet). So, the pass and the access road to Mirror Lake were only reopened for the summer season, not too long ago.


This is Hwy 189, near Jordanelle Reservoir. No traffic, lots of sunshine, and no snow 8)

A brief stop along windy Jordanelle Reservoir, on our way back home.

130 miles in total, an excellent insalata di riso, and two happy Vesparoli, to sum it all up. We decided to go back next week, bring the tent, and camp out.

That looks like an awesome ride. Good on you for wanting to go back with the gear! Look out for bears, eh?

correction: Linda, Salima got the FF five months after the Vespa. It did make her feel claustrophobic at first. Now, she prefers to wear the 3/4 for city riding. Once we get on the highways, she's FF. Good choice, I agree.

That's better than what I remember having had in Germany for some years. But then, we also had summers with 30° (15 in the morning and 15 in the afternoon).

Well we have our own special situation here in South Louisiana.

IMHO, we don't have winter here. It gets cool here for about 2 or 3 months. Then the rest of the year it's hot with the exception of the months that would indicate normal summer then it's almost unbearable.

What it boils down to is that we can ride year round down here.
