If you didn't/couldn't/wouldn't make it to Amerivespa 2009 in Los Gatos, CA you missed out on a great rally with awesome scooter enthusiasts from around the world and some really great vendors.

It was a pleasure to meet the minds and owners behind http://genuinecoolass.com/ Brian and Jan are as awesome in person as they are behind the scenes of their company making these great covers to keep our asses covered!!

And now by popular demand, custom printed for Piaggio manufactured scoots... a NO PETS logo'd CoolAss cover... AND it's a great but limited offer of 2 CoolAss covers for price of 1! (til August 31, 2009)

They haven't completed the printing of the NO Pets logo'd covers but if you order now, they'll charge you $29.95 plus S&H. They will send you an original CoolAss cover right away AND than approximately in mid-August when they get their completed shipment of NO PETS logo'd CoolAss covers, they'll send the NO PETS CoolAss at no additional charge and YOU GET to keep the original CoolAss.

And something that is totally understated by them but proven to be backed...total satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like the product send it back they'll give you your money back. If it fails, send it back they'll replace it...something I didn't know but they told me all about at Amerivespa. I told them my DS and DSXL had torn (a few inches) where the elastic is sewn in along with a recently discovered hole in my DSXL (which I was going to duct tape) but they told me to bring them back. So next day with them sadly stuffed into my backpack and than presented to Jan and Brian I walked away with two brand new CoolAsses in hand in their handy little black storage bags.

They offer a great product backed with awesome customer service and a guarantee they follow through on.

I agree completely smrf! This is not only a great deal, but a great company. Not long ago, I sent an email to Brian asking if they made any covers without the "CoolAss" logo printed on it because I work in a church going area that frowns on ...Ass just being printed on the top of my seat . He said they made covers without the logo and promptly mailed me one for free!

I brought this up once in my cleaning tutorial, but its worth mentioning again...besides the CoolAss cover keeping my seat perfectly cool even in 100+degree weather, I use it all the time when rain threatens or when I wash my scoot...they're waterproof! It's nice to hop on the scoot after a heavy rain and have a dry seat!

Great guys and company, I can't wait to see some pics of them and others at Amerivespa!

Ok I got one too. The payment goes through Paypal and does not allow you to select DS or DSXL. So I called Brian at the number on the PayPal statement and left a message. I am guessing that with their experience they probably are just sending DSXL sizes to all MP3 orders.

Not really sure how my dogs, cats, horses and geckos are going to feel about my "No Pets" sign anywhere.

There's now two threads kinda going on this, but here's what I posted to the other one regarding size of Coolass cover:

I also ordered up today and then sent an email to Brian at Coolass because I had no opportunity thru paypal to say I wanted to be sure it fit Loretta (MP3 500). Brian sent a great note back, clearly saying the new 'no pets' cover would fit all MP3s, period, and the one being sent right now was DSXL. In fact, I sent a note of thanks back and he replied again, thanking me! Really a nice guy to deal with so far - looking forward to getting a cool ass for Loretta.

Suggest you drop him a note if you are concerend about cover size.

I would think the churchgoing crowd probably frowns on the concept of a scoot or motorcycle regardless of the seat cover. But, what were you worried about ...they would steal it?? Come on, they're churchgoers!

I'm kind of fond of the no "Ass" on the seat too. I teach elementary school in the same area as Lutor and can't have that printed on my bike outside of the library's back door Laughing emoticon

Well sort of off topic. But around here we show and breed dogs. And girl dogs are called bitches - no offense meant to anyone but this is the term used at AKC shows to distinguish boy dogs (simply called dogs) and girl dogs (bitches). So my very impressionable boys who are aged 9 and 11 pick up on that term and love to shock non-dog people with it. I am clear that around the house and other dog events it is OK to use the term as it is intended. But if I ever catch them using the term not in context then their little asses are mine. So I get the term stuff not proper for certain places. But the Bible is pretty clear about the word "ass" as meaning donkey. Could simple say it just means I have a cool little donkey???? Probably not.

Bitches and asses exist, 21st century vernacular exists, let's all get over it and move along now... step away from the female canine and gluteus maximus prurient slang... next thing you know folks will start sportin' tattoos and nose rings! Can't have that non-conformist individualism now or we might wind up with, I dunno, three-wheeled scoots maybe??

CoolAss Amerivespa
Hello all:

Our heart-felt thanks for your support of CoolAss. Everyone we met at Amerivespa in California was positively delightful -- we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Pictures have been added to our web site --

Well I got my Cool Ass on Saturday. Fits just fine on my 250. Service was outstanding.

Now if it ever were to get hot again here in sunny California I would be able to check this thing out properly. For now though it will serve just to tell everyone that a Cool Ass rides this scoot.

CoolAss
Hey Dale -- looks like it's warm enough in Concord! I'll trade you, however -- a couple of my 104 degree days here in Dallas (and upper 80's at night) for a couple of your 85 degree days and cool nights in CA!

Thanks again for your business and trust. Ride safely!

Best,

Brian

I also ordered a CoolAss from Brian. He wrote me back almost immediately. It turns out that he is from Ohio and that makes us fellow Buckeyes.

It is refreshing to do business with someone who really knows what customer service is.

Yep, got my CoolAss cover promptly and its out there doing its job right now, first time under the sun. This first one is on the large side and covers the seat more than enough and I am anxious to see how well it works thru the day.

This just plain works...
I had to go to the dentist today. The only parking was in full sun. When I left the office the temperature gauge on the dial was 121 degrees F. OUCH!!! Before Cool Ass I would had to gently lower myself on to my seat much like getting into a jacuzzi. Not anymore. The seat was just slightly warm to the touch. Very Nice. I recommend this product. it just works. Clap emoticon Clap emoticon Whew emoticon

Yep, mine worked great too! Worth the effort to get it out, put it on, take it off, etc. since I have to park in full sun during the workday. Its a bit large but then I know the custom fit 'no pets' will be forthcoming and should be a bit easier to use.

Thanks, Brian, great product! Clap emoticon Clap emoticon Clap emoticon Clap emoticon

CoolAss No Pets Covers
A huge thanks to all who took advantage of our 2-for-one No Pets cover promotion. Our apologies for being a tad late on shipping. We expected to ship on 8/20, but all orders ended up being packaged and sent Wednesday morning, 8/26. Most should arrive in your mailboxes by today, Saturday or Monday at the latest. Thanks for your patience.

The 2-for-one promotion ends August 31, 2009, so there's still time to take advantage of the offer. Beginning September 1st, No Pets will still be available (while supplies last), but at the regular price - $29.95 per cover. More information is available at www.GenuineCoolAss.com.

Best to all,

Brian
