A week ago, after weeks of scorching weather, I took out my screwdriver and removed my tucano urbano leg cover. I just felt stupid riding along in the full heat of summer wearing my beloved furry rain cover. Needless to say it has rained every day since - sometimes with severe flooding.

Should I put it back on and bring back the high summer?

haha talking about Leg covers. I sold my tucano leg cover on sunday.
Yesterday.... rained down like we were in the amazon. I think I am going to put an order for the corazzo apron. I don't like the fact that tucano's leg cover is attached onto the scooter.

Aprons are the way to go!

Why not? I thought that was more of a feature - it keeps the saddle dry while I'm away, hides shopping I've left on the bike, generally keeps curious eyes off my scoot and best of all is I can just jump on the scoot and ride off without having to worry about the weather. All that and I arrive dry! or at least I did before I took it off

I've seen loads of bathing suit tags and to be honest they are nothing to get excited about

Personally, I just feel restricted when my legs are under. Its like I am tied down to the scooter. You can protect the saddle with the apron no?
Also, even though I am cutting my commute to work by half instead of taking the dreaded London Public Transport, If I wanted to take it off, it would just take so long. Where as the apron would be wrapped around with the velcro and repeat the backward process when its time to take it off.

Sep tends to be wide open here, but even if there are still crowds, I'm sure Panteles will find a way to fit you in. They want the Rally business again in 2010!

Would be great to see you again. Holler if we can help.

I leave mine on year round. When the weather is warm I just roll it up and use the straps to keep it in place out of the way. I thought that's what they were for or am I missing something?

Nope - I think you're doing things quite correctly - I just thought that I wouldn't need it again till November and that it would only take 5 mins to remove so I might as well remove it. Little did I think that I'd affect the whole British weather system by doing so

That was you was it!!!

I ride everyday back and forward to work, I run errands and I do pretty much everything on my scoot (I think my feet are evolving into flippers) but over the last 4 weeks I have left the house 3 times without waterproofs on (or with me). on each and EVERY occassion I have been caught in a thunderstorm. bum

actually m-b-k if you're intent on messing with the weather can you arrange for some nice solid white cloud, with even light and limited shadows, but no rain? i'm photographing over the next week or so and this wretched 'white puffy cloud with blue skies light changes every three seconds and it's not even properly warm out' crap is doing my head in

I'm unsure what to wear to guarantee the above conditions. Perhaps if I stand in the local park in my speedo swim suit while covered in suntan lotion. My guess is it would just still continue to rain on me. Maybe if I carried an umbrella at the same time that might work - in fact I'm sure that would work. Do you think people might look at me strange?

I also have to alter the weather tonight for around 10:50pm when the Space Station flies over London. I'm after clear skies at this point so I intend to wear a full rain suit and Wellington boots. I hope everyone appreciates my sacrifices.
