I have skimmed some of the threads on Amerivespa and other than Smrf's post on the seat cover have found nothing on MP3s participating in Amerivespa. Were any there? Where are the pictures? Did we have a bigger MP3 gathering in Chattanooga?

Five or Six MP3's at Amerivespa
There were a few. Smrf, a couple of 400's and 2-3 500's. Here's mine, there and on the way home thru Big Sur.

Does anybody have contact info for Vespa Club USA? I can't find an e-mail address on the Web site (vespaclubusa.org) or on the Amerivespa Facebook page.

Was hoping to keep this private, but I registered for the club via Paypal in JANUARY, never heard a peep, no welcome letter, no nothing. Made a post on Facebook (don't see how to do it now, the page may have changed), never got a reply.

The club is all volunteer with a lot of ground to cover. Pulling off Amerivespa is a huge undertaking. Several threads on other forums people wondering if they are gone. I signed up as part of Amerivespa 2008. Got my first magazine in May 2009. Was told at Amerivespa I would get a certain number of magazines on my membership no matter how long it took. Other than my registration at Amerivespa being correct never got anything else but the 2 magazines so far.

Thanks for the pics and links. By the counts here we did have as many in Chattanooga. The most together at one time by my count 8 and the total MP3s 11 counting the two we met on the road.

YES that is me and the Smrfmobile approx. 43-44 seconds in, surrounded by a bunch of bastards, um I mean Royal Bastards Scooter Club. And as amazing as the Smrfmobile is, he isn't the only 5-wheeled scoot in the area anymore. Rdudley has a silver one named Emma. When people ask me what I refer to my 'vehicle' as I say his name is Smrfmobile and he's a pentacycle. I received two other suggestions though at Amerivespa. Laura of SF Scootergirls said I should refef to him as a MP5, and Bradford (CEO of Corazzo) calls him a Fike.

That video was taken at the beginning of our ride to San Juan Bautista. I counted a total of 5 MP3's in the video too. See next post if I can ID the rides. I'll try to ID who I can from the pics...

1st, midnight blue 400 is RenoBob.

2nd, black 500, dunno.

3rd, black 500, riding 2up w/rider in safety vest is Oz.

Hmm, STICKYFROG it seems you didn't grab all the MP3s out of the video. you're missing one and than I make 5. Also, attending on MP3s but not shown in the video were 88stillstanding (who's selling 500 BTW), makavoy (think that's his handle), and mysticbird. There was at least one other I saw but can't recall if it was the same unidentified one from pic #2 or someone else completely. Luthorhuss had stated some time ago that he was going to come out but I don't believe he did.

RAMBLERDAN, Bradford Duval is CEO of Corazzo and President of Vespa Club of America. You may try to go through his company to reach him. From a review of his company I pulled this:

For inquiries on carrying Corazzo at your shop, email Bradford Duval at sales@corazzo.net

Thanks!! And absolutely he exists! I had SOOO much fun at the rally, awesome rides, SOOO many scoots. It was cool going down to San Juan Bautista and on the straightaways seeing over a half mile of scoots.

When we stopped to gas up a new scoot friend's grandson observed all the cars at the stop sign next to and said "Wow, look at all those cars". I told him they were looking at us and saying "Wow, look at all those scooters!".

There was all kinds of non-Vespa scooters to be seen. Brands I'd never heard of (Heinkl, Rotello), some new brands (Sym), and a general mis-mash of Genuine, Aprilia, Honda, Burgman (and yes even a 650 Burgie w/sidecar seen in the video about 3-4 seconds before we make our entrance!

Careful BRAVOTWOFOUR your language and expressionism of your admiration of my pentacycle may be misconstrued (debute of NO PET CoolAss cover at Amerivespa 2009 (Post 671032)) and be 'blanked' like the CoolAss cover.

Actually, I wasn't thrilled on the FIKE term but your Fikin love it...I like, I Fikin love it!

I'm DEFINITELY gonna try my hardes to make it next year! I tried really hard this year, but was unable to! I KNEW that they had to be closer than California this year from Tennessee...heck ANYWHERE woulda been closer!

On a side note, didn't want to start a new topic or anything, but I'm back. Thanks for the support from the community and moderators/admin. Sorry for the small fiasco of sorts. Just PM with replies...don't wanna hijack such a great thread on Amerivespa .

Good to see ya!

San Antonio is a long way from Oregon, but it could happen. I'll watch dates and such and ponder time / costs involved as it gets closer.

Sorry to get off topic, but this is for smrf, stickyfrog, and Old as Dirt...in case you ever say "Man, I've got some extra dough...I'd like a SUPER SWEET helmet that also pulls in my USAF roots."

http://www.akumahelmets.com/products_helmet_V2-Stealth-matte.php

This thing also has LED lights in the rear helmet and the helmet can just be plugged in to recharge. IT ALSO HAS AN INTERIOR MAP LIGHT THAT ACTIVATES WHEN YOU LIFT THE VISOR AND PRESS A LIL BUTTON ON THE FRONT!! They also have a visor upgrade that CHANGES WHEN SUNLIGHT IS ON IT TO TINTED...similar to some sunglasses! Super sweet helmets...I just wished they get back to working with the inset lighting (Gatorglass). Your airman comment sent me off on this spin. I now return you to your regularly scheduled Amerivespa discussion ...oh and Fuzzy, they have Navy versions too

Pretty cool design but $$$$ for 'extra' fun features. I'd consider it if they made it a flip up, my Multitec cost as much.

Thanks for sharing the link!

Akuma has a patented 'in helmet' design that is really neat. Its a great helmet for the cost and actually weighs less than some others. Here's the webbikeworld review where they talk about the powersystem: (I also think it shows much better than the website what a beautiful helmet they make...the curves and paint aren't very visible on their website)

AND IF YOU THINK THAT DOESN'T MAKE AKUMA COOL,you prolly haven't followed their 'electro chromatic visor'. If you haven't seen them working on this...check this out...watch the left helmet for the whole video:

Dunno about what you see wit the evil eyes version they're working, but here's another example that will likely come out sooner with gatorglass. I've already seen one on T.V. up and working and on a rider on "Superbikes" the show:

I wuz there for basic in '75. I just went back a couple of weeks ago to see one of my high school chums who lives there. Man has it grown. Hopefully by that time I will be residing in Austin so AmeriVespa will be a short (but hot) trip. They should seriously consider changing the dates to sometime in June to avoid the worst of it.

Now you have gone and gotten personal. I am withholding response to not get kicked off forum but beware the moderators will probably see your attack.

I suspect that Stickyfrog, like the rest of us, greatly respect members of all the armed forces, and was just joshing.

If you too were joshing, Fuzzy, then I apologize for being a blockhead.

Ramblerdan, no apology is necessary it is easy to misread someone's intentions in print, especially when you couldn't see the smile on my face.

The way I read it in earlier post, Stickyfrog was an airman.

We military types always have and I believe always will poke fun at each other. I read a good one attending the Army - Navy game 2 years ago quoting one of the players: "We battle each other on the football field, but we die together on the battle field" The game I believe is the greatest college rivalry, but after the game the midshipmen and cadets party together. At the end of the game both teams get together in front of one of the bands to here the school song then go together to the other band to hear the other school song.

Hey I was Air National Guard!

Hmm...4 generations of Navy but no mention of your service...must be adopted!

To all FIKIN servicemembers past, current and future I'm thankful they serve(d)! And if you're interested in saluting them as well considering joining http://www.patriotguard.org/ no cost to be a member. Prior service not a requirement either just a desire to show your appreciation to the ones who have and continue to serve. BTW, you ride with lots of HOG and choppers/cruisers bikes but they don't care I'm on a scoot.
