Hm, seller is willing to ship, but I can't find any rates for under ~400. Also, how do people ensure a safe financial transaction on something like this?

I've been looking at this for my first scooter. It's really pretty ugly, but I have a friend that does bodywork. I'm wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate on how much I might need to invest if I wanted to completely restore it. I have no idea what I would be getting myself into and I'm not going to have the cash to toy with the idea until fall. However, it would give me something to ride for the rest of summer, seeing as how I just totaled my car.

I only have limited funds until fall so I'm deciding between this and maybe a newer LX150 or something cheap

Didn't realize those stripes were stickers. I still wanted a blue one :\. But I guess if the original condition was in good shape it would save me money I'd put into it.
Has anyone checked this thing out? I'd have to drive quite a bit to go see it. |

If your looking for the best scoot Vespa ever made Buy it IMHO. But know this. You need to wrench these things a little. Try to find out what was rebuit and what is original. Get back to us after you find out. We can tell you more with more info.ask for more pix and post them here. People here know there stuff and are more then happy to help.
It says carb. cleaning if that's all It needs sounds like a good deal. I must agree with some here, those stickers cheapen the scoot. If your looking for a great reliable old first scoot try to find a P200 they are around for sale everywhere and parts are plentiful. They are not as sexxy as the Rally but they are the Vespa work horse. Best...Brian |
