I recently contacted Piaggio customer service with a request. In all honesty I did not half expect a reply, but I was wrong.
I was trying to sell my wifes ET2 Vespa, and the only buyer around insisted he have an owners manual, which I did not have, and which cost way more than they are worth ( I have heard $45 to $90 dollars). So I ask them if they would send me one.
I reminded them I have bought a few new scooters from them ( ET2, ET4, Scarabeo 500, two MP3 500s, and a new Vespa GTS 250 just recently, in fact, have never bought anything BUT Piaggio products).
I got an email back--"The manual is on the way".
Its a little thing, but I really appreciated it, and I wanted to put a good word in for them.
A little customer service can go a long way.
