Modern Vespa

Well actually a 10,000 milestone to be exact.
Made a thirty mile trip home stretch into a 40+ mile trip just so I could snap this picture tonight.
Started riding April 8th of last year, down for 4 months almost because of injuries and weather but July 8 2009 at 3:09 pm....
Drum roll please.

Congrats! I'm about half-way there...

Wow ... that is a LOT of riding in just a short time! I am not even close. Sigh ... sometimes I wish Tortola were a bit larger than 21 square miles!

I just hit 6000 on July 4, the first anniversary of receiving my Vespa. Pretty good considering I've only traveled out of town 4 or 5 times so far. All that thrifting & garage saling really clocks up the miles

21 square miles= a lot of roads, are you sure you've been down every one You should try to hit every road on the island!

You have my deepest respect I have almost 1000 I can use the excuse i've been not home very much or the truth,i have more than 1 scooter. Was 3 but the 50cc is in scooter heaven so i would have maybe 3000 miles if i only had one. You got me beat. Good for you

The funny part is when I moved up from a 50cc I thought that 150cc was to big for me....
I commute 60+ miles a day and I realize.. More power !!!! Must get the 300...
I am hoping no accidents for the next 10,000. Last years minor mishap taught me a big lesson.
Do not try to impress anyone with your riding, not even yourself.
I would say shiny side up but I haven't washed this since November...

Congrats! I commuted to work on my LX 150 all last fall, and it was a blast. But it's so close, I don't put on that many miles (plus I don't scoot when there's snow or ice on the ground).

I am going to bicycle and scoot more this summer than ever, now that my broken arm is finally healed.

You've given me a goal to reach.

When I come to selling my LX125, let's swap speedos. I've put 33,672km on mine in the last 3 years and although the LX lives and breathes, mine against yours in same spec and condition will fetch considerably less dolla.

Congrats! I keep missing my 1K milestones. I may hit 20K by end of summer, though-at 18,600+ now.

In that time, I've only had 2 real problems with my scoot: a worn out clutch bearing that was very difficult to obtain and I broke a hose for the secondary air system. The latter was probably exacerbated by my mods and the fact that I was, um, pushing the scoot's limits at that time.
