Modern Vespa

can anyone help!!! i have just bought a gts 125 (second hand) and love it but, i think there might be a problem with it. there is a clicking noise coming from the engine and i don't know what it is, it's driving me mad!!! i have just given it a service new oil, oil filter, cleaned the air filter and reoiled, checked all i can. this is the first vespa i have owned ever, iv'e only ever owned lambretta's so i'm lost

Is the noise coming from the engine or from the rollers in the variator on the lower left side of the engine?

If the engine itself is clicking loudly, that's the valves and if they're loud enough to be annoying, they're too loose and need adjusting.

If it's the rollers and you don't have a lot of miles on them, it's normal.
