I'm new to the forum.... Just got a Cortina Gray GTS 250 three weeks ago and love it! However, already I have a couple of pretty noticeable dings with missing paint (from flying rocks?) on my plastic front handlebar cover. I've used some touch up paint, but still doesn't look that great. I am thinking about replacing the front cover - I know that part can be ordered, but does anyone know whether Vespa makes the replacement part already painted (since they have so few colors), or do they all come unpainted? Would like to avoid the hassle (and expense) of separately finding someone to paint the cover.

Thanks.

As Benito said, they come already painted. Be sure that you take the color number with you when you order the part. It is usually on a sticker in the engine compartment under the "pet carrier". It runs about $115 (or at least the one for my GT200 did). A word of caution, be GENTLE when changing it, in many places you are screwing into plastic and over tightening will break something! Good luck

Give the dealer the color number from your scooter (the sticker under the pet carrier) and they will be able to figure it out. I ordered a part and went through the same thing but they somehow figured out how to do it and got me the correct color even though it wasn't readily listed in their parts book.

The new parts don't repel rocks so just keep the old one for a year or two
Save your money for other cool stuff. But if you damaged them and need a replacement post here to classified first. maybe someone has some in silver.
